The impossibility of a still point in a fluid environment

At the other extremity of the fall works lies The impossibility of a still point in a fluid environment. Here a video camera is dropped and abandoned from waist height in the subway in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This gentle fall once again explores the process where the camera surrenders itself to its environment. Once discarded the camera is repeatedly kicked and stepped on by the pedestrian traffic who appear unaware of its presence.

I was interested in the impossibility of a static or fixed point in a fluid environment. Within this environment the camera is moulded by the location, its flow is not one of uninterrupted recording but one of being physically kicked and consumed by the pedestrian current. I was also interested in the placement of a foreign object in a suspended space and observing the subsequent reaction.
